Clef endpin tip compatibility with existing endpin?

Right now, I have an endpin with a really sharp point, so I'm looking at getting a tip for it. Looking at this one:

http://www.uptonbass.com/Clef-Endpin...r-Double-Bass/

It seems to be a good seller, but I'm wondering if I would need to have Clef endpin already installed, rather than the one I have (especially given the tip attaches with a screw). Thanks!

That endpin just clamps on with an Allen screw. You'll need to know the diameter of your endpin when ordering.
