Hi,
After reading this post I made the jump... I have sawed my endpin rod on what some would call BSO (Bass Shaped Object but that's another debate). I took off around 20 cm leaving a little more than necessary for my height setting. I have done it because I have noticed a annoying vibration when I was playing a low or middle E (the problematic note could be changed by changing endpin height).

It tooks 10 mn and, I wish I have done it sooner ! The sound on the E & A strings dramatically improved. I was planning to change those strings (as several have reported a little weakness on these superflexibles). But now, both strings are loud !!

I wouldn't have expected so much improvement with such a "minor" change. I was just hoping to get rid of a annoying buzz (& it was actually the case)...

Thanks for your inspiring posts...
