Excellent DB luthier - Kurt Ratering

Just had some extensive repair done to my old Juzek bass by Kurt Ratering. He did a neck set, some crack repairs, planed the board, and made a beautiful bridge. Brought the thing back to life. Works out of Johnson Strings' bass shop in Waltham, running the show over there. This guy deserves the work so I had to recommend him. I'm new to this forum and enjoy all the info.

I agree with Gua bu pa. I went there because it was close to my day job,
but I was very happy with the quality, and speed at which the work was done. The price was right too. Great cosmetic and set-up work.
He understands what jazz players want from an instrument.
Eventually I'll bring my bass back to him to take the top off and repair my
old cracks properly. Kurt IS my MAIN man.
