It epoxies into a channel routed into the neck - you can find pix on my website on the 'Workshop' page. I run the channel up under the nut so that future luthiers working on the instrument can see that there's something in the neck.
You may need to straighten the mating surface of the neck prior to routing the neck channel.
I Will take a closer look if I can stick some glue on it and clamp I will, I need to see the real reason why the FB came out, maybe the neck is bend? may be i really need to go though all the steps.... I dont have a router right now... so I would have to make a channel the hard way (chisels).
I installed a CF rod before but i think I was 1/4 x 3/8x 24or18 I cut one end, it worked well
but if is not broken don't fix it
