Flat-Foot Floogie Saves Relationship

I always felt it a bit rude of my honey that she’d tend to turn away from me when I tried to embrace her. I had to modify my posture and hand positions just to hold her still while I caressed her neck and tugged at her G-string, and was forced to avoid positions that I knew would be good for both of us, if only she’d cooperate.

But now she remains docile as I approach her from a much wider range of angles, and I’m able to stand more erect, especially when moving into thumb position. This enhances my endurance, enabling me to play all night with a minimum of fatigue.

I owe all this to the Flat-Foot Floogie. Drawing on techniques learned in her prior experience as a member of Harbor Freight’s vise squad, (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=3311) she provides an adjustable ring that allows you to modify your partner’s freedom of motion according to your mutual preferences. Plus, now I can pick my honey up and carry her around the room without worrying about getting that shaft re-aligned with a hard-to-find little socket down there in the dark somewhere.

Note: Floy-floy has been disabled to prevent rubber from sticking to floor.

I hate it when the rubber sticks to the floor !

But seriously, great innovation and post. What's it weigh?

About 18 oz, M/L depending on whether you use the optional carbon steel toe-tips for positive orientation on varnished hardwood surfaces (under development.)

Seems dangerous for your end block and end pin assembly. I notice your end pin collar has a nice crack in it...

The collar is indeed cracked, but the crack predates the Floogie; it hasn't gotten any worse, which would seem to indicate that it's not being unduly stressed.

The Floogie's ring is adjusted to inhibit twisting but allow leaning, which spares the end block any serious prying action. In the picture, Honey is actually balanced, more than held, in an upright position, which is why my arms are outstretched-- to catch her if she falls into a swoon.

So, you end up with a kind of T-Ball bass playing.

Does it come in any other color other than 'Chinese Blue-Green'?

I was thinking Orange or Mauve might be more Durrl's color.

Now you got me curious! I can't play the tune with this connection, and I don't remember the spoken intro... I had this as well as about 5 other tunes Slam did with Bird and Diz in a compilation that covered Bird's recordings in California, including a couple live things with Nat King Cole. There's one hilarious tune with Slim babbling in his hipster O'Rooney mode...

Oh, I forgot, Slam ain't on this stuff, just Slim. Great stuff though. I hadn't heard the original so I am excited as well, Slam sounds great!

That's got to be the one I got lucky to hit on. Funny, fun stuff. I'll check it later for you. What a great find. Thanks, I'll pass it on.

And xwtb, thanks for accidentally making this happen.

My honey sure does like T-Ball. But even with not worrying about mass and angle, I still gotta hit the pitch.

How long does it take for the Harbor Freight Smell to dissipate from it?

My wife won't go to Harbor Freight anymore. The "made in china smell" drives her crazy.

FYI...I believe it is Bam Brown playing bass on the Slim date with Bird & Diz.
