Free Bass for Repair Project

Free for the taking one plywood Craptastic 3/4 bass. Has good neck and fingerboard, could be playable with some work. No tailpiece, bridge, or strings. I don't have time to take pics or answer questions, sorry. First post or e-mail can have it. Must pick up here in Brewster, NY. Cleaning out the basement to promote marital bliss...

Note: This bass needs repair work. Please do not ask me to describe its problems, because I don't remember, and I don't have time to research it. If I don't find someone to take it in the next few days it goes in the dumpster.

For me it's the constant balance between peace & dismemberment that keeps things interesting.

You should have experimented with turning it into a travel bass. I just don't believe it can't be done for a lot less than the Czech-eze....

ctregan is the first responder who actually had a plan to get this beast out of my place quickly. So it will be gone today. Sorry if anyone's feathers got ruffled, this was far from my intention. Moderators, you are welcome to delete this thread if you would like...

Speaking of bliss.... need some quick answers to the following questions;

"If it is broken, then why do you want it?"
"Can we sell it and buy a new dishwasher?"
and the ever popular "Don't you already have a bass?"

"If it is broken, then why do you want it?"

So I can fix it. I like fixing things.

"Can we sell it and buy a new dishwasher?"

yeah ... as soon as I fix it, i promise.

"Don't you already have a bass?"

yeah but this one I can SELL ... as soon as I've fixed it.

Matthew's obviously an expert at Marital Bliss - that's an excellent list of responses.

Marital or Martial?

Marital Bliss means one thing in the eyes of the male beholder and something else in the eyes of the female beholder.

Sad, but true.
