Getting a bass fixed up

Hey i have an old plywood bass that i'm looking to make my jazz bass so i can put my belcantos back on my newer bass and make it my orchestral bass. i used to play it then i got a new bass and stopped and now the whole thing has gone out of whack (the bridge falls a lot, the sound post is off an inch or so, the distance between neck and strings is huge, ect.) I was wondering what I could do to get my plywood bass sounding and playing good again.

Yeah, it's setup time. And no, you don't want to do it yourself. You don't know what kind of sound a talented luthier can coax out of your instrument!

Also, I noticed you discovered capitalization in the last sentence of your post. Good on you--keep it up.

Yeah and I noticed you learned how to be an ******* in that last sentence of yours. Weird huh?

Chill, man-on the DB side we tend to like good grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and literacy in general. It was a sincere compliment.
