getting a new bridge - how much$?

how much should this cost - both for the bridge as well as the labor? I have a 56 kay. One guy quoted me $400 over the phone and that seems a little silly. but then again i'm a noob.

Prices for all double bass repairs vary greatly from one region of the country to another, but the norm for fitting a bass bridge (including the bridge) seems to be in the $150 - $300 range. YMMV

Here in WA I had a new adjustable bridge put on for about $120. yay for Lundin's.
