Smile Good luthiers in Bellingham, WA area?

Can anyone out there recommend a good luthier in Bellingham, WA area? May need some setup and tweaking done on a Christopher hybrid. Thanks!

You might want to considering heading across the border...
I bought my bass from a player in Vancouver and he highly recommends Gerard Samija (604-253-2503). Either that or a little trip down to Seattle.

It wasn't the same Christopher from the store in question in my earlier post. This one is a hybrid (303) and got a great price on it. We've been shopping around for a bit so yeah, it was kind of quick, but not an overly quick decision! I still would like to see and hear an Upton live, if you do know of one in western WA. Thanks!

You should call Dave Nerad at (360) 734-6362.

Good repairman, nice guy, bow rehairer and builder of award-winning violas. Plays a mean old-time banjo too!

I got a '39 Kay from David a long time ago and his shop is where I saw my first aluminium bass.

Say 'Hi' to Dave for me.

There is Ken Larson in Everett. Not Bellingham, but not as far as Seattle. He's at (425)530-1809. He does set-ups for the Bass Church in Seattle, among others, myself included.

Great! Thanks for all the suggestions (and cautions) - will start making some calls - is the "search" function working yet on TB?

Jake, you're right. I had removed my post before I even read yours. I was out of line, and I appologize. Perhaps you can edit your post, and we'll forget the whole thing...
