Great Bass Shop in Portland OR.

Hey I just wanted to report on a really great experience I had with a Luthier in Portland Oregon.

Pete Lampe (http://www.successpool.com/petesbassshop.html) is a totally stand up guy (sorry for the bad pun), and rented me a fantastic bass very last minute (a bit of an emergency) for a family event, and was incredibly nice and very reasonably priced. It was a real pleasure to work with him and arrange everything from out here in NYC, especially since my last dealings with a bass shop in that area left my instrument with a very poor neck refit and some very bad memories.

I'm really glad to see there is a skilled and honest guy in the Northwest who totally did me a solid without even knowing me. He has some really nice instruments, I hope to be back there soon...THANK YOU PETE!

Pete is a good fellow. I have'nt been in Portland for about two years, but Maureen's down on SE Grand (or MLK), just across the street from Nichola's is another great place. You've got a couple of other chioces in Portland, so make sure you find a good fit.
