HELP! Seam Opening in the top plate



the seam in my top plate is opening up. i've loosened the strings to avoid any further pressure.

anyone know a good luthier in Phoenix?

that's who i bought my bass from. he's not a luthier. and unfortunately, the only one Steve knows of is about an hour drive for me, and last i checked, is only open mon-thurs, and closes at 3pm or something. if that is my only choice, then so be it. just hoping that maybe there is another option.

and if none of these work, you can probably just look for a violin guy. Seams come apart, it's not rocket science (though I wouldn't try to fix one myself).
