KC Strings Endpin

I know there have been a few threads about these, but here's my $.02.
My bass was purchased from KC Strings last spring as a new instrument. It is a fantastic, big sounding bass with lots of character, but it will benefit from being played in over the next few years. It is aging nicely, but still has some opening up to do.
I had KC Strings make me one of the pins with the carbon fiber rod and threaded tip.

I gave them the length I needed and had it in just a few days.

The effect of this new pin is more than I ever expected. The pizz tone is much more mature, warmer and punchier. The E string really came alive with more volume and some serious weight.

Overall, this has to be the best $100 I could spend on the bass. Highly recommended.
