KC Strings endpin - a short review

I stopped by the shop yesterday finally deciding to replace the Engelhardt endpin. First of all, I am too tall for the pin, and moreover it is pretty cruddy at best.

Anyway, They had a few different pins including Goetz, but the most impressive one was a pin that they have made for themselves. I think in Russia.

This is the nicest conventional endpin I have ever seen. Carbide tip, positive stops and very long. It extends at least 3" more than the Engelhardt. And, it is completely solid without having to crank it down really tight.

The design and construction is outstanding. The fittings are heavy brass and the plug is some sort of composite material.

It is topped with a very heavy, hard rubber, metal lined, screw-on tip. This thing is tank like. Maybe even better than my golf ball!!

I mention all this simply for those future searchers that may run accross it on their site.

If you are interested in a moderate/ high moderate priced replacement pin, I would suggest ordering one of these.

I know it is seems like putting z-rated tires on a Ford escort, but the ease of use and quality is worth it to me.
