Kolstein tailpiece adjusters

I've heard good and bad things about the Kolstein tailpiece. Either way, my bass sound great right now so I'm not about to take it apart.

But how are these adjusters supposed to be set up? Is there a standard pitch that the afterlength gets tuned to?
