Luthier in the Denver or Boulder, CO areas?

Hi, my bass needs some work before the school year gets going full steam, and I was wondering who the best luthiers in Denver are. I've heard of Robert Ross and Laughing Bear Instruments from Bob Gollihur's website, but I don't know of their work, and I thought I remembered hearing about another name too. It would also be great if there was a guy in the Boulder area that you guys knew of, it's a lot closer to me, haha. Ultimately I'm going to go for the best work and service so I'm thinking something in Denver. Any ideas? Where do you other Colorado people go to?

Bob Ross

Bob Ross is a fine luthier and doublebass maker with a great reputation among his peers. I've known him personally for several years and have visited his shop in Denver. I don't see how you could go wrong taking your instrument to him for any repairs or setup work you might need now or in the future.

Awesome, I'll bring it in soon. I just needed to get a little more info about him, and now I have a recommendation! haha, thanks very much! Now my bass can get some much needed tune up...and a new bridge, haha.

I've had good luck with Von. He's good but not cheap.

Von's Violin Shop
1869 South Pearl Street
Denver, Colorado

I have also had Michael at Woodsong's in Boulder work on my uprights. There was one job that he didn't think he could do so I brought it to Von.
