Luthier Recommendations

I live in east TN (close to Knoxville) and I need some set up work done in addition to getting a new bridge. Through Bob Gollihur's directory, I found these three cats in the Nashville area: George Chestnut, Jim Ferguson, and Dustin Art Williams. I wanted to know if any of you guys had had any previous experience with any of these guys or recommendations as to which one does the best work.

Thanks

If you make it up the hill to Asheville, stop by the shop and say hello; I'm right downtown. There is always a lot of good music, fun folks passing through, and a big stack of double basses next to the bench.

I don't know Chestnut but Dustin Williams has does my work for years. Great guy, great staff, and great reputation. I've never had Jim do any work but I've taken a bass lesson or two from him and seen some of his work. I wouldn't hesitate to call him if Dustin was booked up.

Another N'ville area guy is David Harvey. He actually works for Gibson doing mandolin repair as well as basses. I used him on several occasions before Dustin opened his shop. David is currently restoring an old French bass for a friend of mine. The only downside to him is it usually takes a long while to get something done.
