Smile My new compensated tailpiece

After reading so many positive threads regarding flexible tailpiece wire and compensated tailpieces, I took the plunge and ordered one made by my luthier; David Mix of Branford, CT.

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/w_keit...?.dir=/2886re2

It is made from wenge wood. The plank that was used was a dark grainy brown and very heavy. The final piece came out very reddish in color and comes close to the finish of my bass. I was told the color will darken with age.

The results were terrific with my Engelhardt ES-1. The volume and tone really improved after adding the wire and new tailpiece.

Thanks for the advice.
