Upton sells fingerboards. Have never bought from them, but everything I've read about them suggests a top-quality operation.

Damn, these prices are cheap.
I went to a luthier a couple of months ago to inquire about getting a new fingerboard. I was quoted $800 *just for the wood*. At that point I figured it wasn't worth the bread for this bass...maybe I should keep looking...

Boy that's expensive. Sounds like I should move to Winterpeg!

Maybe I should just drive me and Kitty out to BC to get her a new 'board.

Probably would be cheaper in the end. And I'd get a holiday out of it.

They have beer where you live, right?

We have beer, wine, mountains, rain, beaches and a perplexing hockey team...though when they play like they did last night, all's right with the world.

I had a guy from Winnipeg bring me his bass last winter. I love the prairie dweller's sense of 'driving distance'!
