Smile Need a good luthier in Europe!

Hi to all of you.
I would need to set my acoustic bass, I'm living in Italy:
could you please suggest some really good luthier for jazz set up?
Maybe in france or switzerland...unfortunately in italy we don't have any good chance. I thank you very much in advance!

Sergio Scaramelli is supposed to be very good. Don't know first hand though. He's based in Ferrara in italy.

David Hoefflin - Geneva, Switzerland.

He does fantastic setups, and he takes time to do it well, as a maker, he mostly builds beautiful double basses and violas, and he plays double bass.

He has a website:

Thanks a lot Arnold for your quick reply!
Unfortunately I must say I had a bad experience with him repairing my bass from a back crack. So I would prefer to find another luthier...but I will give him another chance. In case do you know someone else somewhere...not to distant from Italy?
Thanks again!!

Thanks a lot to you all! I will follow your suggestions.
Hope in one month or two I can give you a positive feedback...cross fingers because my bass is in poor conditions...thin sound, a lot of overtones, it is difficult to control, probably it needs soundpost and fingerboard setting.
Ciao!
