Need Opinion

Not my bass - sorely in need of repair (bass bar crack is the worst). Estimate $4,000 repair. Carved top, but is the bass worth saving?

A shop/dealer would probably give the most accurate appraisal. Keep in mind that basses sold by private sellers general sell for well under the appraised value.

More detailed pix would be useful, particularly the areas of concern.
