New buzz on my bass?

Got tired of fighting the Kay and decided to put the Realist on my carved LaScala for a gig. Now, I have a strange buzz. Most noticeable when I bow the open D string, or pull off from Ab to open G. With all the rain around here I've seen the hygrometer go up to 95%.

I wonder if I made a mistake in doing it. Any Ideas? I will take it to someone to have them look at it. Is it possible that the strings didn't go back on the tuners correctly?

is it possible that the foil from the pick up is buzzing against the top or the bridge foot?

I hate these things. I guess you'll get to see this sooner than later. Thanks Kurt.

My Kay has a frequency rattle too. I isolated it down to the wooden endpin mount or endpin itself. Also the D string sounds really dead on the d sharp note, g or d strings.

Turns out it was an open seam. I noticed the foot of the bridge was not seated quite right. However, when that was fixed it was still rattlin'. Kurt found it pretty quick and fixed me up!

We have had three weeks of a flooded basement after two "billion year" storms. 95% humidity and there you go.

Thanks to Kurt for the bail out....... pun intended.

I had a buzzing endpin on my Kay. It turns out the upper portion of the endpin (inside the bass) was resonating with one of the notes. I cut a couple inches off the endpin with a hacksaw, and the problem went away.

So I suggest at least trying your bass with the endpin removed altogether.

I also found some dead notes to be caused by an uneven fingerboard, which my luthier took care of.
