Pallotta copy sound clip

This is the bass I just finished and strung up yesterday. It was recorded with an x-y pair of Sure KSM-137's about 4 feet in front, close to the floor and through a pair of Mackie VLZ pres into Paris. I notched a bit of 3.6k because those KSM-137's are pretty "zippy". I tried to get it to sound like the room as much as possible but it still sounds brighter than where I sit playing it.

I hesitate to put this up, but I think some would want to hear the results after following the bass progress.

This is an exerpt from a Vivaldi sonata. No comments about the dotted eighth/sixteenth values please.

The Belcantos are not so great when it comes to jazz, but here it is anyway. I'll have to make another bass for good jazz strings. This is still the same mic setup, but closer to the bridge.

Sounds refined but still a little raw for arco. It has a nice, deep sound to it so far. But let's hear it when it really opens up.
