Patrick Charton, a master restorer!

I just got my Lockey Hill back from 7 months in Patrick Chartons shop, where it was being repaired after a terrible accident where the neck was ripped out of the bass at the ribs and a number of bad cracks opened in the back.
I drove for 32 hours roundtrip to pick the instrument up, sleeping a few nights in the car, but it was well worth it.
The instrument now far looks better than it did at the time of purchase (before the accident) and the sound is as good as ever, and getting better day by day.
His setup work is first class.

Meeting Charton and his employees was a wonderful experience!

Many different people in the business recommended him to me and consider him the #1 restorer in europe and I can only say they were absolutely spot on.

He also has a shop in Paris and divides his time between the two locations. I suspect all the bass work is done in St. Etienne though.
