| Question about fingerboard extension... Not the traditional "C" extension, but that *other* fingerboard extension that extends the upper range of the fingerboard to something around the 3rd octave G. Does anyone know how those are done? Can they be applied to an existing fingerboard or do they require completely replacing the fingerboard? I wouldn't think complete replacement would be necessary, but if it isn't, the extensions I've seen are incredibly well matched and dressed. I'm not planning on this anytime soon, but I'm just curious if anyone knows.
