The Recent Nashville Flood

Any Luthiers out there interested in discussing some pro bono service to musicians who might have instruments damaged by the recent flooding in Nashville?
I am in Michigan so I'm only going to open the topic. I am a repairman not a player but I know there are a lot of struggling musicians out there. I would offer my services via a friend who drives vintage cars from Nashville to Michigan on a regular basis. I'm not sure what could be worked in that regard but I'm willing to explore the idea.

I'm thinking about repairs that are relatively easy are free. And if it's a more complicated perhaps a reduced rate. This is an opportunity to help some victims who are neighbors in need.

I'd like to hear other people's opinion and thoughts. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

This is Mick Donner from Low Notes for Nashville.

Any and all help offered is accepted and really appreciated. Our bass playing brothers and sisters in Nashville got hit really hard and will feel the effects of the flooding for a long time. Not only did they lose their gear and, in some cases, their homes, they also lost some of the venues they use to make their living and feed their family.

Like you guy, I'm a builder. I know that most, if not all, of the builders and repairmen in Nashville are helping out but the sheer volume of instruments damaged is probably way more than they can handle.

If you'd like to contact me at flybass5@juno.com

I'll be happy to help you help them.

Take care,

Mick
