regluing a seam?

so i got a bass off of a jazz student about a year ago for $100. the seam along the back, around knee height was coming apart and the saddle was broken. jerry fretwell fixed it for me and it worked great for the year. well, the seam is coming apart at the same spot. it's not bad yet, but it's gonna lose a bunch of bottom when it loosens up more.
anyhoo, i'd rather not have to pay someone else to fix this over and over again if it's something i can do. i guess i'd need two clamps, and some adhesive.
is this a terrible idea?
thanks!

I won't say it's a bad idea, but if you've never done it before, you need to do some research on it. You will need more than two clamps, a glue knife, and some granulated hide glue. DO NOT use
titebond, elmers, or epoxy on your bass seams.

this is really a job for a bass luthier, most likely, but pm me if you want and I can tell you what to check first-I am not 100% clear where the opening is---can you provide picture?
