Replacement tip for ULSA endpin?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a replacement tip for an ULSA endpin - the heavy duty, well-made, screw-on type where the rubber is about 1 and 1/4" in diameter. They have some that are much more puny as well - maybe 1/2" diameter rubber - but that's not what I need.

When I search for this item I find lots of sites willing to sell me an entire replacement endpin (for $120-$160 dollars), but nobody who lists just the endpin tip! Anyone know where to find this item?

Thanks!

I guess that's an obvious bit of info. I could have provided, but I don't have the bass with me. Then again there's also the "pitch" (is that correct?) of the threads, etc...

Since a pic may help, the 2 endpins AT THE BOTTOM of the page below tell the story:

http://www.bassworks.com.au/store/category62_1.htm

The second-to-last pic. looks exactly like my endpin, however the rubber tip is purely cylindrical (boring). The tip in the last pic. is like the one I currently have (with some "fluting" at the bottom edge). I was hoping ULSA would have a standard fit for all their threaded endpins??

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try here: http://www.violins.ca/fittings/endpi...ass_parts.html. I think the part number you want is #45-497.10, which fits a 10 mm Ulsa endpin rod.

Robgrow,

Thanks, yes, that looks about right! Also, you managed to point me to a Canadian website (fewer hassles with customs are always a good thing...).

Cheers,

Paul
