Hi sorry if Im hijacking this thread, I'm from London in the Uk and was wondering if anyone could tell me how much a replacement fingerboard and fitting will cost here in London.

Loving the site by the way, very informative

It gets worse...

I just paid $1400 for a new Fingerboard, Nut, bridge adjustment, and to repair a crack in the heel of the neck. I'm in Chicago.
From what the luthier (Mark Sonksen) told me, $1000 of that was going to the Fingerboard and set up.
Mark did a good job, and I won't complain about the price since he lent me a very nice bass to cover some gigs and a recording session while mine was in his shop.
But Damn! This is an expensive axe to maintain.
Too bad electric uprights just don't cut it...

Yeah my fingerboard cost just over $1000.00 in NYC. I need to learn luthier skills.
