Rubner French Tuners

Does anyone have any experience with Rubner French style tuners such as these:

The price is certainly attractive, and I'm not expecting Sloane or Krutz quality for this kind of money.

I'm also wondering how hard it would be to install these machines myself, or if I'm crazy to even think about it and should just go to a good luthier.

i have these on one of my basses.
they work very good.
they were installed by a luthier, so i can´t comment on the difficulties of installation
