scale length question

I've taken the plunge from electric to db . I dont know a lot about standard scale lengths but from what I've been told 39'' is common . My bass has had a recent overhaul (new board etc ) , on checking the distance between the end of the nut and the point where string hits bridge I see that it is an exact 40'' , is this anything to be concerned about or should the bridge be moved ?

Thanks Adrian

Your bridge should be centered on the two inside cuts of the f-hole, that's structurally where it is designed to be.

3/4 size bass scale lengths vary but are typically in the 41.5-42 inch range.
