Gary has the bass and is taking care of the work at hand, I was delayed in getting the TP, strings, etc to him for setup comparison because of this:

You'll be able to read all about it at my blog soon.

The story to the picture has been up at the blog (link below) for a bit now. The bass should be back in my hands in a couple weeks. I understand our own eroy is taking care of it while Gary gets a wee bit of R&R.

Hey Matthew, what kind of rosin is that? I've never seen rosin that color before.

Jim -

It's Supersensitive Clarity. I linked to the Lemur (I think) shopping page from my blog. I love it (the rosin, that is).

My wife made the comment that it's a darn good thing it was SS Clarity, otherwise months might have gone by before you realized where the wheel had got to.

My bass is up at www.stringrepair.com. Thanks to Eric for the excellent photographs of the progress. It's interesting to see the inside of my bass.

eroy just informed me new pictures of my bass are up at www.stringrepair.com. It will be very gratifying to see strings on it again.

Check out the nice sculpting work eroy did on the saddle.

The guys at Upton posted some more pictures of the work to my bass. They wanted to put a traditional tailpiece on the bass and the ones they had in stock were too small, so they made another one. The service in this shop is pretty incredible. Hopefully it won't be much longer.

I've never seen my bass with an ebony tailpiece before
