Setup in Southeast Michigan

Hi all,

I'm looking for recommendations for a setup & repair person in Southeast Michigan. I don't have any major work in mind in the near future, just thinking of a) switching strings (and possibly widening the string grooves in the nut) and b) sanding off the varnish on the neck (if I don't decide to do it myself). Other than that, I just want to establish a relationship with someone trustworthy and skilled--as some of you might remember, my last experience with a repair person didn't turn out ideally.

Thanks for any suggestions! I'd be happy to receive PMs if you don't want to broadcast your opinion.

Jeff

Well, there's our own Brent Norton- heck of a nice guy- right in Ferndale, and Rob Wilson at Wilson's Fine Violins in Birmingham. Both are fine craftsmen.
