Sound Post Is a'Buzzin'

My sound post rattles sometimes , especially when i adjust the spike. Can it be fixed adn if so how?

How do you know it is your soundpost that is buzzing?

Is it the endpin rattling? If so, it can be fixed or replaced.

You probably have too much after-length on your end-pin inside the bass. Try to pull out just the spike and cut some off. If it's mushroomed, you may have to take out the entire EP assembly.

+1. That's the easy fix. Mine was resonating at the "G" once. I cut it off at the first notch from the top end and all was fine.
