Thomastick Tailpiece

Anyone out there have experience with a thomastick tailpiece? I wanted to put one on my bass because the fine tuners are something unusual that aren't associated with them, but i've been told they also serve to tune the bass more perfectly with itself

I had one on a bass of mine for several years. If you've got a bad tuner on your bass machines, it can be helpful. Other than that, IMO it is pretty useless. Some people have claimed that you can tune the afterlength with it, but you are really tuning the entire string and any afterlength pitch change is temporary until the string tension equalizes on both sides of the bridge. Don't waste your money.
