top wood of bass has come off of body

Hello there. I have a 3/4 standup bass and just noticed today that the top wood of the bass (or front) has detached from the main body of the bass at the bottom (or the very bottom of the lower bout). Is there any way to simply fix this with wood glue? I have clamps and could probably do it. But I am very scared about hurting my bass. Any suggestions?

Hide glue. Probably need to consult a luthier.

It isn't a big deal and you can probably do it yourself, if you feel like it. But, a luthier won't charge much and he can also give your bass a good once-over to catch anything else that might be going on.

If you do fix it yourself, you MUST use hide glue. Nothing else. Even the hide glue in a bottle isn't very good (so I hear), so do it right and cook up the real deal.
