I still choose not to deal with Heinl's, for the reasons I gave earlier in this thread. I'm very happy with the work done by Hratch Armenious. He listens to what you want, and does a great job at a reasonable price. Here's his website:

Hratch and Artak Armenious Violin maker, Viola, Cello Makers

Cheers,

Paul

Paul:

Thanks....but I don't expect I will need anymore work on my bass for quite a while now unless it gets dropped from a great height.
My post was a reply to the previous poster and was not meant to be any kind of a defence against the beefs you have.
Heinl's has built up a pretty good reputation since the company began and I am glad to see they are maintaining it.
I don't want to resurrect your long standing issue with your bow....but I think Ric Heinl has done a great job since he took over. He's very approachable and reasonable to deal with. If you did not have a chat with him about your bow problem you may have missed a great opportunity to resolve things.
Cheers.

Hi Martin,

Just to clarify, I had no issue with my bow; That was another TBer.

My issue was with them using my bass (which I gave them on consignment) as a "loaner" to someone who was having their bass repaired. It was enough of a concern for me that I haven't been back since.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul: Got it...thanks.
Again...my response and comments originally were to yet another TB'er who very happy with Heinl's service and I was not slagging anyone who had a bad experience.
