In tune?

I recently purchased a 5 string bass with a low
B. I'm used to tuning with a tuner and then double checking with harmonics. On my 4 string everthing would line up but on this instrument they do not.

Im going to be taking the bass for a check up and want to be able to describe the problem accurately and resolve it. Any suggestions?

Make sure the bridge is straight and the strings aren't shot.

Strings are new, so I eyeballed the bridge.

It's warped in the area of the most out string.

Thanks Ray.

A quick way to check the bridge is to measure the string lengths of the outside strings.
