Where is Jacques Gagnon?

Does anyone know if Jacques Gagnon (Cremonasia) is OK? He's not responded to my emails or phone calls in the last three or four weeks. Not a squeak. So I'm worried that he's sick, or worse. But maybe he's just on holidays ...

Phone just rang out and went to fax. I sent a fax, so wait and see. Hope he's OK.

I have ordered things from him last year July but I still haven't got my stuff yet. He called me before and told me there were some problems, he promised to send my order to me before July but of course I haven't got anything.

Jacques emailed me on the weekend. He said he had had a server crash for a few weeks and didn't get my emails and my order was now in the mail. You better remind him again.

I have just been speaking with Jacques Gagnon at Cremonasia.

If you need to do or follow-up business with him, I suggest you call and speak to him in person, evenings Philllipines time, as email and fax are unreliable.

Does any one have information about buying Gagnon bass in Florida?
Is David Cobb selling them?
What is the story and how much are they going for?

I sold my Gagnon Maggini for 12K two years ago through a Chicago dealer. It was a terrific bass - great tone and volume - but back problems forced me to shift to a smaller instrument. I know both Volker Nahrnamm and Kolstein have a couple of his basses. The problem w JG is consitency - the bass can either be very good - or not. If it's one that's been at reputable dealer it's probably worth a look.

I don't know why Jacques Gagnon seems disappeared. I ordered things from him since last year July and paid already but still haven't got my stuff. I try many times to find him but still not sucessful. Anyone knows what happened to him?

You can call him in the evening Phillipines time at the number Francois gave, above.

Jacques is having some difficulties. You have to be persistent.

I know this thread is about a year old, but does anyone have some news about Jacques? I was foolish enough to order some stuff from him nearly a year ago and had the last sign of life three months ago. He does not answer the phone, doesn't reply to emails, nothing.

I emailed Jacques a few months ago about one of his basses and got a reply within a week.

My experience is that he will reply to potential customers very quickly but if you have paid and he has to deliver to you, he will avoid your call like the plague. I received my bass bag after several months hassling. It is a good bag, but the customer experience was terrible. I wouldn't send him anything more than a deposit with balance due on receipt of goods. And then, you're risking your deposit.

I'd love to be proved wrong.

Send him an email from another email address, asking for a quote on a new bass - and see how fast he responds!

Jacques if you're reading this, feel free to correct the record. Somehow i don't think that will happen.
