Who's coming to TCU in October?

TCU is hosting a double bass symposium at the end of October. I know it's quite early to ask but I'm having to make a scheduling choice here. I saw advertised that luthiers will be there and was wondering if any of you guys are on that list. I'd like to meet you!

I might be there. It depends on an audition in NYC for something. If I'm around I'll go. It's only about 3 hours up the road, Rabbath's not getting any younger and Quarrington is BAD! But I'm not a luthier.

Oh my god. I must go! I'll be there. I'm not a luthier, but I'm a student, so I can't pass this up. Thanks for posting this!

Bah! Can't go, gotta play the symphony gig cause I need the cash. My car decided on draining my savings account this month.

Too bad - wouldn't you rather have basses drain your savings account?

I think I'll go on Sunday. I may just stay in the exhibition room all day and absorb all I can in there. I'm looking for a bass. I come from the electric side, but I live too close to the action not to go.

Gonna get up eeeeeearly and drive in from Arkansas to catch the Sunday festivities.. I'll probably be behind the scenes assisting Dr. Schimek in his lecture tomorrow afternoon. Who am I gonna meet?

Well I caught the tail end of it. I got to play some fantastic instruments from Robertsons and Kansas City without a huge, noisy convention exhibit hall to deal with.

I also got to meet "Maestro" Rabbath. The poor guy is thousands of miles from home, has the flu (hence the kleenex in his hand), and still had to play a recital and give a lengthy masterclass. I hope I have as much energy as him when I'm his age.

Good times!

Really? I apologize. I was using jive-speak. I meant that he kicks major butt.
