working on the nut on NS EUB

Hi,
It seems that I need to do something with the nut of my NS CR as the slots of 1st and 2nd (G and D) are too deep and caused buzzing on the open strings. I have the neck at max relief but doesn't help much so I need to work on it but before doing that I need some of your advise.
What I did on my bass guitar is either I fill up the slot with "hot glue" or I remove the nut and put some shim under it but I think NS nut is glued and might be damage if I try to remove as it is a big peice (large surface) of wood. I can not insert a business card under these 2 strings at the fretboard next to the nut so I wound definately need 0.5mm additional height on the treble side.
Looking forward for some advise. Thank You.
