So, this one's totally on me. I'm running JUST this side of late for rehearsal, I rush into the practice space and start assembling my Eminence. I get 'er all put together and start bringing the strings up to pitch with my Petersen tuner, and I neglect to notice that one of the patch cables that runs from my preamp -> volume pedal -> tuner is loose. I keep cranking and cranking on the tuning pegs, and right when I wonder "Huh, the tuner isn't registering the pitch getting higher..." there's a SNAP!!!! It was like a gunshot went off! The bridge collapsed down onto the top, and at first I thought nothing was wrong. I picked up the bridge, and there are two cracks running all the way through it, one on the E-string leg, the other on the G string leg. That bridge is DONE.

There's another $200 or so I don't have. My question for y'all is, could I have damaged anything else on the instrument other than the bridge? The top doesn't seem to have any stress marks on it, and the soundpost on the Eminence is glued in place. What 'generally' happens when a bassist is too dumb/distracted and snaps his bridge like I did tonight? What kind of repairs am I looking at?
