$25 Amazon Gift Card- Not sure what to buy!

Sign in to disble this ad
I was one of the groomsmen at a wedding and I got a $25 Amazon Gift Card as a gift. I'm not sure what to buy with it. I want to get something bass related, but I just don't know what.
I use flats, so I don't need strings. I was thinking about getting a clip-on tuner. If I settle for that, which one? At this moment in time, I don't have GAS. I'm stumped. I really don't need anything. Is there something that's cool to own?

You could get a bunch of used cds. If you play it right, you can get ones that are a buck or two each but still count towards the free shipping, and get $25 worth of them. Or you could get a stand or two so that you're ready the next time you get that horrible combination of GAS and money.

I was thinking about getting this:

Amazon.com: Fender 2 Vintage Tweed Strap: Musical Instruments

or this:

Amazon.com: Levy's Leathers 2 Jacquard Weave Hootenanny Guitar Strap,: Musical Instruments

Might as well add a cord or something to get free shipping.

I had the same delema a while back - bought a mic stand beer holder and clip on music stand for set lists. It was a good decision.

If you use active basses and non powered pedals, get some batteries. +1 to the straps and also picks if you use them.

Me too. But my father, not yours.

Really is better to hold off. I've been in your situation many times, and find when I don't want something I usually just wind up throwing the money away and not even getting all that excited about what I'm getting. Much better to wait and be able to knock $25 off the next thing you REALLY want.

And if ya can't do that then explore non bass related things. The clip on tuners suck, got a pretty good one as a gift and it was tough to get any accuracy out of it. And buying straps is like buying socks IMO. No fun. If you've got one that works it's all you need.

I don't use pedals or own an active anything...

I settled for that tweed strap and I still have 8 bucks left. I do need pickup screws though...

Buy "Turn On The Bright Lights" album by INTERPOL. You won't be disappointed... and if for some weird reason you do, well I guess good music isn't your thing x)
