| Is $55 a decent deal for a Peavey Rockmaster guitar

$55's is my budget. The Peavey Rockmaster comes in a starter pack anywhere from $100-160 dollars. I bought just the guitar for 55 dollars. It sounds good. I like it. A little noisy but not bad. I'm not fussy at all. Obviously this isn't a les paul or a 60's strat. I just play blues and I'm a big fan of Hound Dog Taylor. In case you didn't know he would play really cheap Japanesse guitars.

Hound Dog would say the more knobs and switches it has the better. This is the best deal I could find for a budget of 55 bucks. I paid that exactly. I like the sound and the feel of the thing. I'm just wondering is 55 bucks good for just the guitar.
Right now as far as bass goes I'm playing a Squier P Bass through a 20 dollar walmart amp. Haha yea. When I say I'm not picky I really mean not picky at all. I plugged into my brothers Ampeg the other day and I was blown away at the difference in sound haha. I'm really just a bedroom player. I really dig the ol' rugged guitar sound on a lot of those old blues albums. I've owned a Fender Strat and an Epiphone Thunderbird at one point but I sold them both like an idiot because I was going to quit playing music but that didn't happen. |
