1/8 Guitar output jack?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Guys, I just got a hold of my Dad's Yamaha F200 and thought it was acoustic only, well I checked out the tail end and found a little black strap-like button that has "Barkus Berry U.S.A" on it.

I also see a wire inside going from the jack to the underside of the body. The jack is 1/8 (or is it banana?). I have never seen that before. Anyone else see this?

And it does not seem to be working, I don't get signal when its plugged in with my aux cable. Looks like a transducer pup but have no other ideas.

Can transducers go bad over time?

Thanks guys for answering all my questions.

It might have a battery. On some of these older designs the battery is very inconveniently located in a clip attached to the inside of the body. To get to it you have to loosen the strings and reach in through the sound hole. The jack is most likely a 1/8" mono.
