10 Best Lower Register Bass Solos - the score so far...

I think we might struggle to even count ten at this rate. Never mind the Ten Best!

"Mutiny" - by James Jamerson
"Scorpio" - Bob Babbitt
"Andy Hess bass solo" - Gov'Mule
"N.I.B." - Black Sabbath
"Dragonaut" - Sleep

Keep 'em coming.

My favorite one is played by George Alexander of the Flamin' Groovies even though this track doesn't kill me like so many of their others. Great low bass solo begins at 2:29.

Not really a bass solo since its really just the guitar riff.

Folklore by Opeth has a pretty cool solo in it towards the end.

That's the first one I thought of.

The second was La Villa Strangiato by Rush.

Another vote for the song scorpio by Dennis Cofee. Also the song get ready has a nice bass solo. Also Willie Weeks has a nice solo on a Donny Hathawy Live album.

Got me thinking in this vein and definitely Paul Goddard's on Champagne Jam...Atlanta Rhythm Section. Sweet clean round wound grind.

If you listen to the end of Fatal Tragedy during the big unison JMX is effectively soloing underneath it
