They both apply copious amounts of make up and hair dye.

Paul was starting to look like Angela Lansbury for several years there but he does look better than Novoselic.

I thought Clapton tore it up as well. Probably the best set.
Although The Who doing 'Love Reign O'er Me' was spectacular as usual.

I thought the drummer who played with The Who was awesome! Who (no pun intended) was that guy?
Adam Sandler busted me up! I expect there to be some fall out for the few F-bombs that were dropped on live TV...

That is Zack Starkey, Ringo Starr's son. Been playing with them for some time now, just kills it.

I thought the telethon, on the whole, was incredible. Billy Joel was great. Clapton was stellar, Bruce: slayed. Alicia Keys, good, but way boring...kinda the same, at points, with Roger Waters, and I think he could have played Money with alternate lyrics....Bon Jovi was real good too, just a very good time. I admit I missed Sir Paul tho, fell asleep waiting.

Clapton, Jordan, and Weeks flat out killed. Stole the show.
There's something about Clapton's playing when he is the only guitar player. More edge, focus. "Got to Get better In A Little While" was badass.
The Who rocked too.

Does anybody have a link to a decent quality video of Weeks and Clapton from last night. I watched but thru my TV speakers I could NOT hear Willie at all.

I missed Clapton! I was in the clapper... er... I enjoyed The Who very much, although wished they had shown more Pino. And who was the rhythm guitarist with the Who? Guy looked like The Edge, although it was probably just his knit cap.

Also enjoyed the Jersey boys, Bruce and Jon Bon Jovi, playing together. They looked like they were having a good time.

Pino got like two seconds of screen time. I wasn't happy. I know he's not John, but come on.

I think the other guitarist was Pete Townshend's brother Simon.

I was wondering why Townshend took the solo on 'Who are You' instead of Pino....there were several places where I missed The Ox..... a LOT.

Yes Clapton was amazing....as usual.

I think Darryl Jones got less...and only because Keef moved and camera followed.

I love how Steve Buschemi (?) was ripping the Stones for only playing two songs.

Clapton usually steals the show at those type of things. He's also a hell of a singer, something he's not given enough credit for.

He's come a long way since his days with Cream but he's still no Jack Bruce.

Yeah, that guy's the real deal.

I can't believe he played on Gypsy's second album! How did they pull that one off?

I used to know James Walsh fairly well from that band. They were good enough to go big time, but luck was not on their side. I can't believe that they had Weeks, though.

I would have loved to have seen one of those shows, but I would've been eight years old around then.

I was struck at how well Keith Richards has aged....or not. The show was incredible. Have seen many of them live over 40 years and I never stop loving it, especially the bass players.
