Nice!

Great to see a tber give props to a real living legend.

No gimmicks just solid "in the pocket" bass playing.

Sit back and learn cause there ain't to many cats left that are playing like Weeks.

By the way, I was so turned on by Eric's decision to go 3 piece , his song selection and making it look so easy.

Placing Kanye West after The Who, is like having sex then getting your balls torn off by a pit bull.

No he's not.

He's Eric Clapton.

I don't get the hating on EC either, he's a top-notch performer and a pretty damned good song writer too. Or think about it this way: would Jack Bruce have played with a chump? I didn't think so.

I can't say that I don't agree with you 100%.

Me either, imo, if you don't get Eric you must have some other heavy duty issues blocking your logic.

Which is a good thing to be.

One of the nice things about seeing Cream at Madison Square Garden a few years ago (vs seeing them the first time in 1968) at the Cream reunion was the stronger vocals coming from Eric. Still nowhere near as strong as Jack but way better than before.

Awesome "must have" for all bass guitarists.

Recorded live at The Troubadour in LA and The Bitter End in the Village.

If Weeks solo on "Everything is Everything" leaves you flat, imo it's time to put your bass in the closet.

I think he was just playing, I don't think "world class " players like Weeks focus on that sort of stuff.

Wasn't planning on watching because I refuse to watch anything involving Kanye West. I did switch over in time to see Clapton but changed the channel after his set. He sounded great. I also saw about 2 minutes of the Stones.

I got a really negative vibe from his performance. Didn't even say anything about why he was there. Could've just cut him and let The Stones do a couple more tunes, but maybe they didn't want to miss Murder She Wrote.

Since there have been a lot of threads lately about stage volume and FOH etc, I thought it was a good example that The Who required the plastic drum shield vs all other bands not using it.

I thought everyone sounded great. Always nice to hear Roger Waters' voice. Clapton awesome as always. A little annoyed they pretty much refused to show Pino. Sir Paul is the Man. And I think I'm in love with Alicia Keys, what a hottie!

I agree

Weeks is a "once in a life time" player in a league of his own.

Considering Kanye's comments during the 9/11 telethon 11 years ago and then ripping the microphone out of Taylor Swift's hand when she was accepting a VMA, I'm shocked that he would be invited to do anything.

I'd throw Jemmott into the same tier as Willie and Porter and by all means add Chuck Rainey to the mix.

Who the hell is Kanye West? (Serious question)

I haven't seen the concert; they're playing here at midnight, so I'll record it and watch it after my gig. Glad to here there was some quality acts and good performances.

This has nothing to do with anything, but when I got married, we played "Love Reign Over Me" when we were walking down the isle. When it got to the song finale, I looked over at some of the older guests. They were a rather taken aback to be sure. Daltrey's screams rather freaked them out LOL.
