That'll make ya want to give it up, more than just about anything. The only thing that makes me keep going is when I hear Vai, or Shawn Lane, I think of all the slow tasty blues licks I love so much. It's not always the speed and the scales, but the pure feeling that goes into a really tasty line of licks that counts the most to me.

Anyone remember Thomas McRocklin? He was about 11 when he was doing stuff with Vai. Apparently he's now 27 and working in a music shop in Newcastle...

Her guitar playing is pretty good. But she's no match in the facial expressions department, which is really where it counts with Vai's repertoire!

Yeah, I dont see what the big deal is personally... alot of wanking, alot of effects, nothing that amazing... Gotta love how Vai shows off at the end and upstages her. What a dork.

morf, what did you sound like when you were 14? Me personally, I couldn't have dreamed of being able to hang with Vai at that age. All she needs to do is find her own voice and she will be fantastic.

BTW, is it just me or does Beller look like a bad 70's porno star in that video?

Yeah shes got chops, but I've seen more talented 14yr olds. Then again Vai isnt so great IMHO, but I guess its all a question of taste.

Why does Vai always play in front of a fan? Yeah, I know it makes his hair blow in the wind and that's cool to people in some parts of the world... But, the eighties are long gone. And the kid can play.

Morf, no offence but you expect a 14 year old whos been playing for 2 years to play better than Vai whos been playing all his life? Dork? Did you play with Vai when you were 14? He showed off and upstaged her, well hello hes Steve Vai , you think she could play better than him?

There it is, see how easy playing the electric guitar is? The proof's in the pudding, my friends.

I dont expect her to play any better than him. I just expect people not to be crazed over some 14yr old girl who knows how to wank solos.

hello he's steve vai indeed. He invites a teenage girl on stage, tells her as a joke "you better not play better than me" then he upstages her with his hair flowing in the wind like its nobody's business. Dork? Yes he sure is.
