I think the amp is all original. I am not a expert by any means. Any help would be great.
Also how much is this thing worth?
well...can't comment on whether you should have it repaired, but i do have an idea as to it's present value, IF it worked properly
it would be worth between 1500 & 1750.00, depending upon condition
also, the fender 65 reverbs that have been re-issued seem to go for between 800 & 1000.00 bucks
why not take it down and see what it would cost to fix?....then you can make up your mind
how much do you have in it (if you don't mind my asking)
also, when you take it down, you can ask the folks at the shop what it is worth in it's present condition...or, you could simply list it, stating it's faults, and ask about 1800.00 and see if you get any takers
just a few thoughts
ps-edit...AND i may have been a little too conservative on value....after i answered, i went on the internet and found some examples....one was sold that had a list price of @ 2600.00....don't know what they finally agreed on....another one was available for a list price of @ 3400.00...don't know how long it's been up there or whether they have had any offers at all....but, it's safe to say, that, in good condition and everything working, you should expect some good value...
