I played the baritone sax through high school and in college... I wanted to try out one of these really badly (contrabass sax) but never got the chance

Oversized wind instruments look awesome! I'm sending these links to a flute player from one of my old bands who wants to play tuba... that subcontrabass flute is a good compromise of the two, right? Right?

I play sax, and I've been wanting a tubax for years. If I had around $30,000 to spare I would have one right now.

BTW the first video is of a Benedikt Eppelsheim Contrabass Saxophone, not a Tubax (which Eppelsheim also makes)

I think the Tubax is around 18 feel uncoiled so I would say it probably has more metal for you
